Do you ever have those days when you just feel restless for no apparent reason?
Perhaps you chalk it up to consuming too much caffeine. Not sleeping well. Or some other reason. We’ve all had days like that – restless, nagging, uneasy times that just keep us on edge. Have we neglected something critical? Are we about to be blindsided by something we may not know how to handle? Is God trying to tell us something?
At times like these we long for the peace of Christ in our hearts and minds. The peace we can lean into, rest upon, take nourishment from, be restored and made ready for what lays ahead. When we turn ourselves and our situation over to our Lord, he can work through his plans for us and bless us in his own perfect way. Easier said than done sometimes.
In Phil 4:6-7 Paul blesses us with “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
In Jeremiah 29:11 the Lord says, “I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jesus Speaks in Mt 28:20 and says “…. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
